Poggio alla Pieve is situated less than a kilometer from the Pieve di Santa Luce, in the heart of the Tuscan country.

The antique farmhouse used to belong to a Pisan noble family and in the census of 700 it was registered to Leopoldino.

After years of being left run down, the farmhouse underwent considerable renovation that united the solidity and the finish of the 700’s with the comfort of modern technology. Modern insulation and air conditioning allow the farmhouse to return to it’s original use, as a summer country residence capable of enjoying the peaceful climate and tranquility of the Tuscan hills, as it was once meant to be used.

Il Poggio alla Pieve is proud to boast an optimal geographic location. Being about 18 km from the beach and less than an hour from some of the most important and historic artistic cities only enriches the natural setting and marvelous scenery characteristics.

Also, not to overlook in the vicinity are the thermal bath of Casciana Terme and the important Buddhist monastery Lama Tzong Khapa (www.iltk.it), for a pilgrimage or just a visit.
